NIMMO are two best friends from London, a queer pop duo, event curators and a fully independent female partnership. They work with a DIY ethos that is rooted in the foundations of community and the power of collaboration. NIMMO have independently become an integral asset in the platforming of queer female talent, presenting to a wider audience. Combining punk roots with strong influence from the mid-90’s euphoria of their childhoods, NIMMO’s music reflects a nocturnal escapism. At the end of 2018, NIMMO released their first EP featuring a collaboration with Maya Jane Coles and a remix from Shura. This in turn lead to the release of their debut album “The Power” in June 2019. NIMMO exhibited their new stripped back, high energy and extremely intimate live set at a sold out headline show in London. This new set up will be taken on tour globally over the up and coming months to support the album and future single releases. NIMMO became the first artists chosen by prolific clothing company VANS to curate their own event at House of Vans in London which they used to platform the work of female and queer artists. VOGUE selected NIMMO as part of pop’s most influential new stars, featuring them in their January 2019 issue to discuss the role of LGBTQ+ visibility in the mainstream. As DJ’s, NIMMO are club circuit regulars in London and beyond, performing at some of the UK’s best clubs such as Fabric and Ministry of Sound, whilst also having a strong presence within London’s queer club scene – regulars at Savage Disco, Sink The Pink, Dalston Superstore, Little Gay Brother and He.She.They.
