Lukas was born in the Baltic states in 1995. His interest in music goes way back to a childhood spent in Lithuania, at the centrefold of Eastern and Western music currents, his early days spent trying to find tracks that no one else was listening to. Over the years this hunger led him to dig deep across the genres, finding joy in everything from the darkest to the lightest of sounds. Lukas came to Manchester aged 17 and studied music production before establishing himself in Manchester’s club scene. Very quickly he caught the eye of local music legend, Luke Unabomber, who made him a resident at iconic home-grown club night, Homoelectric. Since becoming a regular on the Homoelectric line-ups, playing high-energy sets in Manchester’s finest clubs, such as Soup Kitchen, Hidden and The White Hotel, he has garnered a small following amongst those in the know. His unique sets have led him to do selectors shows for NTS and join Limbo radio as a resident, with monthly shows that feature the top slice of Manchester’s DJ talent, including Kiss Me Again, Tom Boogizm, and DJ Florentino. As a DJ, his taste is incisive and demonstrates an eclecticism that is truly original. His style has been described as ‘deep sonic futurism from the cosmos’. His sets are an exploration of feeling, of finding joy in the extremes of sound. There is very little room for trend or conceit, just open space.
